Mole-Volume and Mole-Mass Conversions

But why should we care?

Molar-mass is the mass that is shown on elements in the periodic table. It gives the size of the element, for example: Hydrogen has an atomic mass of 1g, therefore 1 mole of hydrogen is equal to 1g of hydrogen. As well as Iron. Iron's atomic mass is 26g. Therefore 1 mole of Iron is equal to 29g of Iron. Molar-mass is an important factor in Mole-Volume Conversions because 1 mole of any gas at STP (Standard Temperature and Pressure) has a volume of 22.4 Liters:

Converting between Volume and Moles of a Gas
To convert between volume and moles of a gas you use the traditional Dimensional Analysis that we've been working with the entire year. The mole-volume fact is:
volume of a gas = moles of gas X 22.4 L
1 mol
